Richard Youman teaches ‚character work‘, ‚Speech and voice‘ and leads the ‚Meisner training‘ alternating with Frauke Steiner.

Richard Youman is actor, opera tenor, acting coach, English voice coach, writer and theatre director. He is leading the ‚open Meisner Trainingalternately with Frauke Steiner. He also offers ‚creating a character‘ in English and a ‚Master-class for Speech in English‘.

Richard Youman is from London, England.
He trained at Guildhall School of Music and Drama graduated with BA Hons in Acting, and as singer at the Royal College of Music, whilst exploring further new acting approaches at the Michael Chekhov Studio London.
As an actor and singer he has performed in Shakespeare, new plays, musicals and opera in various theatres in USA, Spain, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark and England.
With a growing professional reputation for specialising in detailed character work, creative imagination, and voice work, he was asked by Award winning opera Director Prof. Anna Viebrock to come to Austria to teach her students Shakespeare at the Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien.
He as taught acting courses at Vienna at Konservatory and Vienna English Theatre. He specialises in the acting approaches of Michael Chekhov, Sanford Meisner, detailed characterisation work, and professional voice and speech (English) training.

The training will be held in English.
